1. Our Policy
We respect and understand users' concerns about confidentiality and privacy and apply reasonable industry standards to ensure that the information you provide is handled in a safe and responsible manner. Because of our respect and understanding of your rights, we have developed this Privacy Policy to disclose our privacy practices and describe how we use information collected during your use of the Triple Bottom Line Tool Site and the accompanying beta feedback survey (the Site). It is important to remember that by using the Site, you agree to the terms of this policy.

This policy applies to personally identifiable information consisting of but not limited to your name, address, phone number, email address, organization name, and/or project data, as well as cookies collected during your usage of the Site. All visitors to this Site are subject to this Privacy Notice and all provisions of the Terms of Use. Because technological advances occur at a rapid pace, this policy may change at any time in order to take advantage of any technological advances or for business purposes or legal reasons. In the event of a conflict between this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, the latter will control. 2. Information That We May Collect
When you use the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) Tool to assess or score a project, or submit comments via the beta feedback survey, we may collect personally identifiable information including your name, your email address, and the name of the organization in which you work. We also collect information about the economic development investment (project) that you are assessing.

In the course of using our Site, we automatically track certain information about your online activity. This information includes the URL that you just came from, , what browser you are using, and your Internet Protocol (IP) address. If you send us personal correspondences, such as e-mails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities, we may collect such information into a file specific to you.

3. Our Use of Your Information
Your personally identifiable information is used internally in our statistical analysis of Site usage or beta feedback survey responses so that we may improve the TBL Tool to better meet your needs. An example of this would be analyzing Site users' data to determine if better user support is need for certain types of projects or measures. The personally identifiable information that we obtain from your current and past activities on the Site may be used to troubleshoot problems, resolve disputes, and, if we deem necessary, to enforce our Terms of Use. At times, we may look across multiple users to identify problems or resolve disputes.

4. Our Disclosure of Your Information.
The information that you enter in the Site is stored in your password protected user account. We do not sell, lend or rent any personally identifiable information about you, your organization, or your project to anyone. We cooperate with all law enforcement inquires and with all third parties to enforce the rights of others and all and any federal, state or local law or regulation. Thus, due to the existing regulatory environment, we cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. By way of example (without limiting the foregoing), we may be forced to disclose personally identifiable information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third parties may unlawfully intercept or access files, transmissions or private communications. Further, we can (and you authorize us to) disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials, including any government officials, as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate. Thus, we use industry standard practices to protect your privacy, however, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personally identifiable information or private communications will remain private if circumstances warrant disclosure.

5. Communications from the Site
Based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, we may contact you via email to inquire about your experience in using the tool or to keep you abreast of news related to the TBL Tool. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email or telephone.

6. Our Commitment to Data Security
The security of your information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, however, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we utilize commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7. Third-Party Collectors of Information
Our privacy policy only addresses the use and disclosure of identifiable personal and project information that we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to third parties, whether they are service providers, advertisers or other sites throughout the Internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the personally identifiable information you disclose to them. Third party service providers and advertisers adhere to their own privacy customs and policies. Because we do not control the privacy policies of third parties, you are subject to the privacy customs and policies of that third party. We do not make any representations or warranties as to how such third parties may use your information.
